Itinerary

Day 1: Airport to Yapahuwa
Upon arrival at the airport, you will travel to the ancient city of Yapahuwa. This city is famous for its rock fortress, which served as the capital of Sri Lanka during the 13th century. After checking in at your hotel, you can explore the fortress, which boasts magnificent views of the surrounding landscape. -
Day 2: Yapahuwa to Anuradhapura
After breakfast, you will head to Anuradhapura, another ancient city with a rich history. You can visit various ancient ruins and temples in Anuradhapura, including the sacred Sri Maha Bodhi tree, which is over 2,000 years old. -
Day 3: Anuradhapura, Mihinthalaya
Today, you will visit Mihintale, a sacred mountain peak where Buddhism was introduced to Sri Lanka in the 3rd century BC. Here, you can visit various ancient temples and stupas and learn about the fascinating history of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. -
Day 4: Anuradhapura to Sigiriya
After breakfast, you will travel to Sigiriya, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its ancient rock fortress. You can climb to the top of the fortress and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding jungle and countryside. -
Day 5: Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa or Minneriya
Today, you have the option of visiting either Polonnaruwa, another ancient city with impressive ruins and temples, or Minneriya National Park, which is famous for its elephant herds and other wildlife. -
Day 6: Sigiriya, Dambulla
After breakfast, you will visit Dambulla, which is home to the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. You can explore the various cave temples, which are adorned with stunning murals and statues of the Buddha. -
Day 7: Dambulla to Kandy
Today, you will travel to Kandy, a picturesque city nestled in the hills of central Sri Lanka. You can visit the famous Temple of the Tooth, which is home to a sacred relic of the Buddha, as well as other cultural and historical sites. -
Day 8: Kandy full day and elephant orphanage
Today, you will have a full day to explore Kandy and its surroundings. You can visit the beautiful Kandy Lake, the Bahirawakanda Buddha statue, and the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where you can see elephants up close and learn about their care and conservation. -
Day 9: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
Today, you will visit the beautiful Haggala Botanical Garden and the scenic Horton Plains National Park, which boasts stunning waterfalls, grasslands, and wildlife. -
Day 10: Nuwara Eliya, Haggala, Horton Plains
Today, you will visit the beautiful Haggala Botanical Garden and the scenic Horton Plains National Park, which boasts stunning waterfalls, grasslands, and wildlife. -
Day 11: Nuwara Eliya to Colombo
After breakfast, you will travel to Colombo, the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. You can explore the city's bustling markets, historic buildings, and cultural attractions, such as the National Museum and the Gangaramaya Temple. -
Day 12-13: Colombo
Spend the next two days exploring Colombo, a vibrant and cosmopolitan city that reflects the country's colonial past and modern present. You can visit the National Museum, the Gangaramaya Buddhist Temple, and the Colombo Dutch Museum. You can also take a stroll along Galle Face Green, a popular public park and promenade that offers stunning views of the Indian Ocean. -
Day 14: Colombo to Airport
On your last day, you'll be driven to the airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your Sri Lankan adventure.
